A gun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight Saturday , and two other vehicle break-ins were reported along the same street, according to Greenville Police Department case reports . A Greenville man reported Sunday that his vehicle had been broken into, and a  Springfield Armory XDM .40 caliber handgun, valued at $500, and two handgun magazines with 26 .40 caliber rounds, valued at $575, were stolen. The theft reportedly occurred between 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and 6 a.m. on Sunday in the 2900 block of Cedar Creek Road . Police spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said the doors were left unlocked. The case remains under investigation. Officers are looking into whether the case might be linked to two other vehicle break-ins that occurred during the weekend on the same street, according to Hunter. The other two cases also occurred in the 1900 block of Cedar Creek. Nothing was stolen and there was no damage to the vehicle in an incident that occurred between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m....

A 27-year-old man faces gun charges after officers conducting a foot patrol at an Algiers apartment complex say they spotted him walking down a set of stairs, carrying a stolen AK-47 assault-style rifle in plain view, according to the New Orleans Police Department . Kendrick Woolridge was seen with the rifle about 1:15 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 12) by officers patrolling the Garden Oaks apartments , at 3300 Garden Oaks Drive , police said. Investigators learned the weapon had been reported stolen from Jefferson Parish. Woolridge was booked into the Orleans Justice Center jail Saturday with various gun charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm . A man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of selling guns and drugs out of his apartment, Irvine police said. Robert Mireles , 24, was arrested near his home in the Irvine Spectrum area , according to a news release. He was armed with a 9 mm handgun that had been reported stolen and thousands of Xanax pills, two rifles and ammunition were found in his apartment, police said. Mireles was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of an assault weapon and possession of a stolen loaded weapon . At least four break-ins have been reported. Sentinel staff Law enforcement in West Michigan have apprehended a pair of suspects after a series of break-ins in Jamestown Township. After receiving several tips through Silent Observer, two suspects were arrested in Wyoming near the area near 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue at an apartment complex just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23. Within two hours of an initial press release from the Ottawa County Sheriff 's Office, the suspects were arrested by the Wyoming Police Department .  Police detained the two suspects, to be named later, as they were attempting to leave the apartment complex.  The male suspect is 35 years old and according to Capt. After widespread maintenance and crime issues within the Chateu Lane apartments in New Orleans East, the complex is slated to be shut down, according to a report from WWL-TV, leaving more than a hundred families out of a home.  The apartment building, located at 6000 Chef Menteur Highway , has been foreclosed and failed to sell at auction, according to the report. BRITT | A Britt woman has been charged with entering an apartment at Summit House Assisted Living and stealing cash. Randi Jo Chipman , 35, was arrested Aug. 5 on a felony charge of third-degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of dependent adult abuse . While employed as a caregiver at the Britt assisted living facility , Chipman entered one of the apartments and took cash from a resident's purse while she wasn't there, according to a criminal complaint. The Britt Police Department , with assistance from the resident and staff at the Summit House, set up a surveillance camera on July 13 after the resident reported money had been stolen from her purse in the past. Police say money was marked, photographed and placed in the purse, which was set on a table in the apartment. The police were contacted on July 15 and told money had been taken from the purse.
