Remington man arrested for alleged stabbing | News

Law-enforcement officials are investigating an alleged stabbing at a Remington apartment complex that took reportedly took place last night. Around 7 p.m. on July 26, Fauquier County Sheriff ’s Office deputies responded to the Fauquier Hospital emergency room for reports of a 25-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his arm. The man told deputies he was stabbed in the arm during an altercation at the Remington Garden Apartments in the 400 block of North Church Street An investigation resulted in the arrest of Michael Dean Turner , 38, of Remington, said Sgt. James Hartman, public information officer for the sheriff’s office. Turner was charged with malicious wounding. He is being held at the Fauquier County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Fauquier County General District Court on Sept. 6.

Calhoun County Sheriff Department logo (Photo: Provided) WOMAN, DEPUTY INJURED: An inmate and a deputy were injured in the Calhoun County jail when the inmate fell from a second-story tier in an apparent suicide attempt . Sheriff's deputies reported the incident at 9:16 a.m. and said the inmate, 45, climbed over a security railing about 12 feet above the floor below, according to Sheriff Matt Saxton . The inmate was drinking a nontoxic cleaning solution before she let go of the railing and fell backward. Tosha Cummings, a corrections officer, attempted to catch the woman and break her fall and she was knocked back, hitting her head on a table and then the floor. Both women were taken to Bronson Battle Creek for treatment and released. Cummings is expected to return to work in a couple of days, Saxton said. The inmate was returned to the jail and placed on suicide watch. The inmate was arrested Monday on a warrant for failure to appear for a trial. She is charged with a 2015 ass...

One person was arrested and another rushed to the hospital in critical condition following a shooting and standoff in Spring Valley overnight . San Diego County Sheriff ’s Deputies surrounded one of the units in the Lakeview Village Apartments just before 11 p.m. Tuesday. The apartment complex is located along Sweetwater Springs Boulevard near Loma Elementary School and across the street from Monte Vista High School . Deputies had received multiple calls of shots fired, including one from a woman inside who says it started with some kind of argument.
