8/15/17 12:17 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way after a two-car collision at Kruse Way and Kruse Oaks Boulevard.
8/15/17 12:41 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to avoid a parked vehicle after leaving the scene of an accident on Centerpointe Drive.
8/16/17 6:26 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to avoid a stopped vehicle after a two-car crash at Stafford Road and Sunny Hill Drive.
8/17/17 6:26 p.m. The driver of a Jeep Cherokee was cited for failure to drive to the right of an approaching vehicle after a collision with a bicyclist at Boones Ferry Road and Kruse Way.
THEFTS
8/16/17 7:49 a.m. Sunglasses were taken from an unlocked Toyota Highlander overnight on Greentree Road.
8/16/17 8:30 a.m. A backpack, a MacBook Pro and a wallet containing credit cards and a driver's license were taken from an unlocked Jeep Rubicon on Park Road. The backpack was later recovered, but the wallet and laptop are still missing.
8/16/17 9:52 a.m. A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked locker at the Lake Oswego Public Library.
8/16/17 2:44 p.m. Sunglasses and work keys were taken from a blue Dodge Caravan on South Shore Boulevard.
8/16/17 3:55 p.m. Boys fishing in Millennium Plaza Park said a man stole one of their rods when they weren't looking. The suspect was described as a stocky white male in his late 50s, about 5-feet-9-inches tall, wearing a green camo hat, light-colored jacket and black shirt.
8/16/17 6:50 p.m. A purse was taken from a silver Acura MDX at Hazelia Field on Stafford Road.
8/18/17 5:26 a.m. A driver's license was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on River Run Drive by a man in a red baseball cap who took off when the car's owner spotted him.
8/18/17 7:23 a.m. A Safeway customer told police that someone took $100 from her wallet while she was shopping for groceries. The wallet apparently was lifted from a purse that had been left in a shopping cart.
8/18/17 8:30 a.m. A silver MacBook Pro worth $1,300 was taken from a home on Knaus Road, and the owner thinks someone from a housecleaning service is responsible.
8/18/17 11:15 a.m. An iPad and $150 in cash was stolen from an unlocked Toyota Corolla on Ridgeview Court.
8/18/17 6:40 p.m. A laptop was taken from a black VW Passat on Terrace Drive.
8/17/17 7:55 p.m. Carpeting was taken from a home on Greenwood Road by burglars who entered through a screened but open window.
STOLEN VEHICLES
8/16/17 7:56 a.m. Police recovered a gray Tesla Model S that had been reported stolen overnight from a home on Maple Circle after the car's owner used its GPS system to direct Washington County Sheriff's deputies to the unoccupied car.
8/18/17 3:32 p.m. A red-and-white Toyota Land Cruiser was reported stolen from the parking lot at One Jefferson Parkway.
8/21/17 10:47 p.m. Woodburn police asked the LOPD to be on the lookout for a white Ford Explorer with red tape over the rear driver's side blinker and a cracked windshield. There were two handguns in the SUV when it was stolen: a 9mm pistol and a 49-caliber Baretta.
8/21/17 11:27 p.m. A Ford SUV reported stolen in Bend was found near the intersection of Third Street and Evergreen Road.
FRAUD
8/17/17 11:57 a.m. Someone changed the pin number and made an unauthorized withdrawl from a Lake Oswego woman's bank account.
8/17/17 1:11 p.m. A trustee for the estate of a recently deceased Lake Oswego resident told police that the man's mail is suddenly being forwarded to Florida.
8/17/17 5:23 p.m. A man's personal information was used to open credit card accounts and he now fears he may be the victim of identity theft.
8/17/17 5:57 p.m. A Lake Oswego woman tried to deposit a check from an online client, only to be told that it was fraudulent.
MISC.
8/14/17 6:19 p.m. Neighbors told police they heard a crash and saw a group of juveniles leaving a home on Palisades Terrace Drive. Officers determined that no one had actually entered the residence, but they did find a broken window. Damage was estimated at $200.
8/15/17 9:14 a.m. A baby deer was fatally injured when it collided with a car on South Shore Boulevard.
8/15/17 10:42 a.m. A homeowner on Albert Circle didn't think it was right for a neighbor to place a "Children Playing" sign in the middle of the street and then not stick around to supervise the kids. Responding officers told him it was fine to have the sign in place while the youngsters were outside, but that it needs to be removed when they head back home. And no supervision was required.
8/15/17 4:13 p.m. A woman thought a license plate had been stolen from her vehicle, but she later discovered that it had just fallen off in her garage.
8/16/17 8:32 a.m. A Lake Oswego man said he has received harassing text messages from his brother, who threatened to fly to Oregon from his home on the East Coast and kill him.
8/16/17 10:38 a.m. An employee of a nearby restaurant caused concern after he was seen hanging around a silver Honda Odyssey on the rooftop level of the Lake View Village parking garage "for at least the last 12 hours." At one point, a caller said, the tires were removed from the vehicle and then replaced; at other times, the man was seen driving the car through the garage. Officers responded to the scene, only to determine that the man had been given permission to be in the garage while he fixed his car.
8/16/17 11:39 a.m. A woman told police she lost her dog while hiking in Tryon Creek State Natural Area. The missing pup was described as half terrier, half dachsund; she was last seen wearing a turquise harness and black retractable leash.
8/16/17 6:49 p.m. A Parks & Rec employee helped a 3-year-old boy find his lost parents in Westlake Park.
8/17/17 9:56 a.m. A gray-and-brown chicken may have tried to cross the road in the 17600 block of Pacific Highway, but it was nowhere to be found when responding officers arrived.
8/17/17 10:24 a.m. A homeowner didn't see anything wrong with filling a wheelbarrow with gravel from a City-owned pathway and using it for his own landscaping project, but his neighbors weren't too happy. Responding officers urged him to replace the material, and he said he would do so.
8/17/17 6:15 p.m. When a disgruntled customer in a bright-green sleeveless shirt was told that he didn't qualify for a free upgrade, he vowed to return to a business on Centerpointe Drive at closing time and fight an employee. Extra police patrols were requested.
8/18/17 7:44 a.m. A man was spotted using a knife in an attempt to pry open mailboxes on Centerpointe Drive.
8/18/17 12:40 p.m. A local business asked police for advice after finding meth in an employee restroom. They'd like to handle the problem internally, they said.
8/18/17 10:12 p.m. Two 16-year-olds were cited for violating park hours and one was referred to juvenile authorities on a charge of minor in possession of marijuana.
8/19/17 6:40 p.m. A man told police that his neighbor repeatedly flies a drone next to his apartment window, and he wants him to stop.
8/19/17 9:35 p.m. A Safeway customer became aggressive and threatened two employees after they told him they wouldn't count his cans and bottles.
8/20/17 10:48 a.m. A woman stopped by City Hall to ask about the local laws for growing marijuana.
8/20/17 11:02 a.m. Reports of a dead squirrel in the middle of the road brought an officer to the intersection of Cherrry Lane and Highway 43, where the critter was quickly removed. Later in the day, officers also disptached a deer that had suffered two broken legs on Moria Court.
8/21/17 6:17 a.m. Eclipse watchers set up a tent on the beach at George Rogers Park, prompting complaints about illegal camping. Police told them they could stay in the path of near-totality, but the tent had to come down.
8/21/17 11:28 a.m. After noticing that no one had picked up the mail at a home in several days, a postal worker became concerned when he suddenly saw cars in the driveway and the front door wide open. Turns out the homeowners had just returned from an out-of-town trip, though, and police determined that all was OK.
