A Felton woman has become the second victim of a deadly fire that swept the Woodcrest Arms apartment complex June 6 . Jeff Brown, News Editor A second victim of the June 6 fire at Woodcrest Arms apartment complex has died. Christina Lynn Taylor , 33, of Cedar Grove Church Road , Felton, died the afternoon of June 7 while at Crozier Chester Burn Center , Chester, Pa., said Dover Police Capt . Tim Stump. Taylor and her boyfriend had been at the apartments to help a relative move, Stump said. The boyfriend, whose name was not released, was still at the burn center, where he had been taken with life-threatening injuries after the fire. Stump also identified the first victim of the blaze as Jacqueline Wuest, 61. Wuest’s body was found in her third- floor apartment during an initial sweep of the building. Crime: Gun stolen from unlocked car; other break-ins on same street

A gun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight Saturday , and two other vehicle break-ins were reported along the same street, according to Greenville Police Department case reports . A Greenville man reported Sunday that his vehicle had been broken into, and a  Springfield Armory XDM .40 caliber handgun, valued at $500, and two handgun magazines with 26 .40 caliber rounds, valued at $575, were stolen. The theft reportedly occurred between 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and 6 a.m. on Sunday in the 2900 block of Cedar Creek Road . Police spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said the doors were left unlocked. The case remains under investigation. Officers are looking into whether the case might be linked to two other vehicle break-ins that occurred during the weekend on the same street, according to Hunter. The other two cases also occurred in the 1900 block of Cedar Creek. Nothing was stolen and there was no damage to the vehicle in an incident that occurred between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m....

A high- speed chase ended when the woman who allegedly fled police last week became pinned under her vehicle after attempting to abandon the vehicle and escape on foot. Chief Deputy Matt Rice said 33-year-old Carmon Michelle Snowden of Damascus was booked in the county jail after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Conway Regional Medical Center . According to a probable cause affidavit, Snowden led deputies on a high-speed chase through Conway that ended at the Westlake Apartments on Hogan Lane on Aug. 10. She was booked in the county jail early Friday morning . An undercover investigator was driving along Lower Ridge Road when he noticed Snowden, who had a pending warrant in one of his active narcotics investigations , walking in a parking lot. ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man has been arrested for Wednesday morning's shooting on South Frederick Street that left one man seriously injured. Nicholas Nichols, 24, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding , Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The shooting happened at about 7:04 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Frederick St ., near Columbia Grove apartments , police said. The investigation determined that the shooting occurred after an altercation between known acquaintances. Arriving officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to George Washington University Hospital . SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — One man is dead following a shooting at Savannah Garden Apartments , 515 Pennsylvania Avenue.  Savannah- Chatham Metro Police Department ’s Violent Crimes detectives continue to investigate the incident. Police say at about 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, officers responded to a call of a prowler in the area. A woman reported that Raphael Morrell, 28, who was known to her, entered her apartment. Shots were fired by at least one party inside, and Morrell suffered life -threatening injuries. Morrell died at the scene. The actual circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation. Anyone with information on this case should contact the SCMPD tip at 912-525-3124. Police say the altercation happened at Valley Brook Apartments on Gallant Drive. Two people were shot by an attempted robber, including a child under the age of 10 and an unidentified man. The two victims reportedly left that scene where the altercation happened then drove to a gas station on Center Point Parkway for help. The man was reportedly shot in the leg and the child was shot in the hand. The child's injuries are reportedly not life threatening. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Man hit by vehicle dies on scene in Newport News

UPDATE (8:15 a.m.):  Police say Donnell A. Howard turned himself in overnight. He is facing charges including second-degree murder. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A man is wanted in connection to a deadly shooting last week in Newport News. Officers responded to the shooting in the 7300 block of River Road — behind the  Admiral Pointe Apartments — around 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17. Police found a man with a life- threatening gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries overnight. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Eric Blackshear. Police said Wednesday that they’ve taken out warrants on 24-year-old Donnell A. Howard, of Hampton. He’s wanted on charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon. Police ID man killed in Southside apartment shooting

Timber Creek Apartments RICHMOND, Va. — Police have identified the man shot and killed at a Southside apartment complex Sunday morning . The man has been identified as Eugene Edmond, Jr., 34, of Chesterfield. Police were called to the Timber Creek Apartment complex in 2200 block of Chateau Drive a little before 10 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Edmond suffering from multiple gunshot wounds . He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police are still searching for the gunman who also left another wounded. “We have a second victim that was transported to an area hospital with non- life threatening injury ,” Deputy Chief Steve Drew with the Richmond Police Department said. The shooting marks second homicide in Richmond in a 24 hour span. “We have good leads on both cases, good evidence and good witnesses,” Drew added. La Plata, Waldorf, MD - Maintenance workers were replacing a pipe at Woodcrest Apartments, 300 Harford Street in La Plata Friday , Nov. 21 at approximately 12:20 p.m. when a torch ignited a propane line in the kitchen, causing a 28-year-old male to sustain burns to his hands and face. According to Dfm. John Nelson, the victim was transported to Washington Hospital Center with non- life threatening burn injuries . Nelson said there was an estimated $2,000 “very minor” damage to the apartment and did not extend beyond the area of origin. La Plata Volunteer Fire Department responded to the three- story apartment building where they found the fire out upon arrival.
