Pensacola Police Department officers responded to the Jamestown Estates on Summit Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after a bystander heard what they described as a gunshot. PPD spokesman Mike Wood said an adult man was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound in the parking lot area of the complex. Hospice Cottage Inc. of Worthington hosted its first-ever open house and ice cream event . The sole victim is a 28-year-old Lawrence man who was shot in the leg. JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two suspects have been arrested in connection to a series of break-ins in Ottawa County, authorities say. On Wednesday, the Ottawa County Sheriff ’s Office released a surveillance photo of the suspects, hoping the public could help identify them. It paid off: Several tips came in to Silent Observer and the two were arrested around 4 p.m. in the area of 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue in Wyoming, near the apartment complex where they live. The suspects’ names were not released Wednesday night , but authorities said they were a 35-year-old man and 23-year-old woman. They are both expected to face first- degree home invasion charges . Investigators say the thieves targeted three homes, several vehicles and at least one business in the Jamestown Township area between Aug. 10 and Wednesday. LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - People at a Lexington apartment complex are okay after an early morning fire on Wednesday. It happened around 2 a.m. on Fontaine Road off of Richmond Road. Firefighters say a charcoal grill spilled last night on a second-floor deck. The tenants thought it was cleaned up and the fire was out, but the fire continued to smolder overnight. Firefighters say a deck is not the right place for a grill. Officials say no one was hurt or displaced.

College Park Police said they found Tee Tee Dangerfield in her car early Monday morning (Facebook photo) (Photo: WXIA) COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- More than two weeks after a trans woman was found shot to death in College Park, police confirm they've arrested a suspect. Tuesday night, police arrested 26-year-old Tyrone Kemp for the July 31 murder of Tee Tee Dangerfield . Kemp is charged with malice murder. According to College Park Police Cpl . Lance Patterson, Dangerfield was found shot to death in her car at the South Hampton Estates apartment complex in the 3100 block of Godby Road.  Dangerfield was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital but was later pronounced dead. At this point, it is not clear if the murder had anything to do with Dangerfield being transgender. BLAKE EDWARDS, 55 of Ogallala, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Blake was born May 27, 1962, at Atkinson, Nebraska to Dennis "Buck" and Shirley A. (Aughinbaugh) Edwards. He graduated in the top 5% from Chadron High School with the class of 1980 and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Creighton University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration On September 27, 1987, Blake married Shirley Meints at Wymore, Nebraska, and the couple made their home in Omaha, where they managed an apartment complex and Blake worked in insurance. Shortly after their nuptials, Blake returned to Creighton to attend law school where he graduated Cum Laude .
