US military helicopter crashes off southern coast of Yemen
JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two suspects have been arrested in connection to a series of break-ins in Ottawa County, authorities say.
On Wednesday, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office released a surveillance photo of the suspects, hoping the public could help identify them. It paid off: Several tips came in to Silent Observer and the two were arrested around 4 p.m. in the area of 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue in Wyoming, near the apartment complex where they live.
The suspects’ names were not released Wednesday night, but authorities said they were a 35-year-old man and 23-year-old woman. They are both expected to face first-degree home invasion charges.
Investigators say the thieves targeted three homes, several vehicles and at least one business in the Jamestown Township area between Aug. 10 and Wednesday. The crimes took place at varying times, but in most cases the suspects forced their way in.
Several thousand dollars’ worth of property was taken during the crimes, including credit cards, electronics, cash and a handgun, the sheriff’s office said. The thieves used stolen credit cards at a store shortly after at least one of the crimes.
Authorities said they found the suspects in possession of several items stolen in break-ins in Ottawa and Kent counties.
