The theft charge, a state jail felony , stems from an offense July 11. The burglary charge, a second-degree felony, is connected to video surveillance footage that shows Andersen walking up to a Southridge resident's garage on Monday morning in the 1100 block of Chapel Drive. Police said he entered the resident's garage, hopped in an unlocked 2017 Chevy Cruze and drove away.  Police found the car hours later in the same neighborhood but couldn't locate the suspect.   At about 10:30 a.m. Friday, police drove to a Southridge home in the 800 block of Sandpiper Drive to arrest him on the two active warrants. But Anderson fled on foot when officers confronted him, running through driveways and backyards throughout the neighborhood, according to witness accounts.  Department spokesman Bryan Cose said it's unclear whether the man lived in the neighborhood. Sacramento police on Thursday released body -camera images from a controversial encounter last month in which an officer grabbed the arm of a pregnant woman who moments later fell to the ground. The department released a statement saying officials decided to post the dramatic and, at times, profane video, which is broken into four clips, on YouTube because they’re dedicated to transparency. On July 9, a police license - plate reader detected a stolen vehicle, according to the statement, and officers soon found the car and detained a female driver. But police then began looking for a male suspect, who they say had an outstanding warrant and was last seen at an apartment complex in northern Sacramento . FAIRWAY, Kan. —   Strong thunderstorms moved through the Kansas City area Monday night and into Tuesday morning, creating record-breaking flooding and forcing emergency crews to conduct hundreds of water rescues. The National Weather Service said as much as 9 inches of rain fell in one neighborhood, while a large swath around the city saw between 4 and 6 inches of rain. Several water rescues have been conducted by the Kansas City Fire Department , Kansas City Police Department , Riverside Fire Department and Overland Park Fire Department . The KCFD and KCPD say they have received more than 130 calls for water rescues. Overland Park Fire Department said it also responded to at least 16 water rescue calls . A Florida woman was arrested after she told police that she left a little boy in the care of a homeless baby-sitter because she needed to make a quick trip out of town. Tampa Police were called to an apartment building near Busch Gardens following reports that a child was outside unattended. When officers arrived they found a 2-year-old boy sitting outside an apartment door with a blanket, sippy cup and half-eaten Lunchable, a police report states . When deputies went inside the apartment, they found a computer mouse with an attached cord tied to a bedroom door to keep it secure. ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man has been arrested for Wednesday morning's shooting on South Frederick Street that left one man seriously injured. Nicholas Nichols, 24, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding , Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The shooting happened at about 7:04 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Frederick St ., near Columbia Grove apartments , police said. The investigation determined that the shooting occurred after an altercation between known acquaintances. A man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of selling guns and drugs out of his apartment, Irvine police said. Robert Mireles , 24, was arrested near his home in the Irvine Spectrum area , according to a news release. He was armed with a 9 mm handgun that had been reported stolen and thousands of Xanax pills, two rifles and ammunition were found in his apartment, police said. Mireles was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of an assault weapon and possession of a stolen loaded weapon . A gun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight Saturday , and two other vehicle break-ins were reported along the same street, according to Greenville Police Department case reports . A Greenville man reported Sunday that his vehicle had been broken into, and a  Springfield Armory XDM .40 caliber handgun, valued at $500, and two handgun magazines with 26 .40 caliber rounds, valued at $575, were stolen. The theft reportedly occurred between 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and 6 a.m. on Sunday in the 2900 block of Cedar Creek Road . Police spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said the doors were left unlocked. The case remains under investigation. Officers are looking into whether the case might be linked to two other vehicle break-ins that occurred during the weekend on the same street, according to Hunter. Calhoun County Sheriff Department logo (Photo: Provided) WOMAN, DEPUTY INJURED: An inmate and a deputy were injured in the Calhoun County jail when the inmate fell from a second-story tier in an apparent suicide attempt . Sheriff's deputies reported the incident at 9:16 a.m. and said the inmate, 45, climbed over a security railing about 12 feet above the floor below, according to Sheriff Matt Saxton . The inmate was drinking a nontoxic cleaning solution before she let go of the railing and fell backward. Tosha Cummings, a corrections officer, attempted to catch the woman and break her fall and she was knocked back, hitting her head on a table and then the floor. Both women were taken to Bronson Battle Creek for treatment and released. Cummings is expected to return to work in a couple of days, Saxton said.
