A Florida woman was arrested after she told police that she left a little boy in the care of a homeless baby-sitter because she needed to make a quick trip out of town. Tampa Police were called to an apartment building near Busch Gardens following reports that a child was outside unattended. When officers arrived they found a 2-year-old boy sitting outside an apartment door with a blanket, sippy cup and half-eaten Lunchable, a police report states . When deputies went inside the apartment, they found a computer mouse with an attached cord tied to a bedroom door to keep it secure. Authorities said the door had enough space for a small child to get in and out. Inside the bedroom was a cheese snack, a jug of iced tea, a Gatorade and pull-up diapers. Sacramento police on Thursday released body -camera images from a controversial encounter last month in which an officer grabbed the arm of a pregnant woman who moments later fell to the ground. The department released a statement saying officials decided to post the dramatic and, at times, profane video, which is broken into four clips, on YouTube because they’re dedicated to transparency. On July 9, a police license - plate reader detected a stolen vehicle, according to the statement, and officers soon found the car and detained a female driver. But police then began looking for a male suspect, who they say had an outstanding warrant and was last seen at an apartment complex in northern Sacramento . NEWPORT, RI— Police broke up a crowd in a Park Holm parking lot early Monday morning and arrested five suspects. Kyrel L. Perry, 19, of Providence; David P. Herbermann, 26, of South Kingstown; Shaquille Hall, 23, of Providence; and Devante M. Hall, 19, of Newport were charged with Disorderly Conduct. Kendall L. Maloney, 29, of Tiverton, was charged with Violating a no contact order. According to the police report, around 1:40 a.m., officers were called for a crowd of disorderly people at 2 Park Holm. Between 20 and 25 people were in the parking lot. Some were running away as police arrived. Maloney's family was standing by his car and angry because some people had shattered his windshield. Maloney told police he had been arrested Saturday night for violating a no contact order involving his children's mother. Calhoun County Sheriff Department logo (Photo: Provided) WOMAN, DEPUTY INJURED: An inmate and a deputy were injured in the Calhoun County jail when the inmate fell from a second-story tier in an apparent suicide attempt . Sheriff's deputies reported the incident at 9:16 a.m. and said the inmate, 45, climbed over a security railing about 12 feet above the floor below, according to Sheriff Matt Saxton . The inmate was drinking a nontoxic cleaning solution before she let go of the railing and fell backward. Tosha Cummings, a corrections officer, attempted to catch the woman and break her fall and she was knocked back, hitting her head on a table and then the floor. Both women were taken to Bronson Battle Creek for treatment and released. Cummings is expected to return to work in a couple of days, Saxton said.
