Firefighters respond to Sunchase Apartments

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) --
Crews responded to a fire at a Harrisonburg apartment complex just after 4 p.m. Sunday.

A large air conditioning unit was burning. Fire crews said folks at the Sunchase Apartments were lucky. That's because the vinyl siding was too high for flames to get to. This allowed fire crews to put the flames out with minimal damage.

The Harrisonburg Fire Dept. told us they don't know exactly what caused the fire. At this time they are calling it an "AC malfunction."
