Woman accused of 2015 fatal shooting in Algiers arrested Sunday in Houston | Crime/Police
A woman accused of fatally shooting a man parked in a truck in Algiers in 2015 was arrested by Harris County Sheriff's deputies at a Houston, Texas apartment complex Sunday, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The NOPD said Shanta Massey, 24, was arrested on a charge of second degree murder after its Violent Offenders Warrant Squad received information that Massey was in Houston and sent her warrant information to Harris County.
Massey allegedly shot and killed 25-year-old Jeren Johnson and a 20-year-old man while they were parked in a truck in the 2600 block of General Collins Avenue December 6, 2015. Johnson was pronounced dead on the scene, while the 20-year-old man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
