A 28-year-old Dartmouth man is facing charges after police say he threatened to kill officers with a knife. In a news release, police say officers saw a man walking down the middle of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth, “yelling and screaming,” just before 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The officers recognized the man and knew he had a warrant out for failing to appear in court. Police say they tried to stop him, and he ran into an apartment building on Jackson Road. At the apartment building, police asked the man through the door to come out, telling him they had an arrest warrant.  “At this time the man threatened to kill officers with a knife,” the news release says. Without knowing whether the man actually had a knife, police “set back at a safe distance and set up containment." “The man continued to yell death threats at officers,” police say. Halifax Regional Police say officers spotted a man yelling and screaming as he walked down the middle of Pinecrest Drive around 4:30 p.m. Monday. The officers recognized the man’s name and knew he was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Police say they tried to stop him, but he fled the scene and ran into an apartment building on Jackson Road. The officers responded to a unit in the building, told the man there was a warrant for his arrest, and asked him to come out. Police say the man then threatened to kill the officers with a knife. The Emergency Response Team and patrol members contained the area while the man continued to yell death threats at the officers, police say. (WAVY) — A man is wanted in connection to a deadly shooting last week in Newport News. Officers responded to the shooting in the 7300 block of River Road — behind the  Admiral Pointe Apartments — around 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17. Police found a man with a life- threatening gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries overnight. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Eric Blackshear. Police said Wednesday that they’ve taken out warrants on 24-year-old Donnell A. Howard, of Hampton. He’s wanted on charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon. OAK HILL, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is facing charges after police say he turned himself in after a shooting. According to a the Oak Hill Police Department Bryan Allen , 38, of Oak Hill is charged with wanton endangerment, shooting near a building, and destruction of property. Police say the charges stem from an incident that happened at the Plateua Oaks Apartment Complex on Monday. They say some fired two shots from a handgun while in the parking lot and that one of the bullets hit a near by residence where someone was inside. According to police, Allen turned himself in on Wednesday and admitted to firing the gun. They say he also provided the firearm that was used.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- Five people, including a teenager, are now facing drug charges after a meth bust in Jamestown. Police raided an apartment at 20 Bush Street Tuesday and arrested Jeffrey Rigerman, Cassandra Cole, Heather Diaz, Delbert Clark and an 18-year-old. The name of the teen is not being released. Police say two young children were also inside the apartment. All five are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Rigerman and Cole are also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child They're all in the Jamestown City Jail , waiting for an arraignment.

Five people are facing charges after police in New York find them in an apartment used for selling drugs with children inside. An unnamed 18-year-old, along with Cassandra Cole, 28, Heather Diaz, 33, Jeffery Rigerman, 33, and Delbert Clark, 50, are charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Endangerment and Obstructing Governmental Administration . It all stems from a search warrant served Tuesday around 1:45 p.m., at an apartment on 20 Bush St. in Jamestown, New York. Police report finding crystal meth in the apartment. Two small children were also inside at the time. Police say Clark ran from the scene, but was caught a short time later after a foot chase. Clark had meth and a Co2 pistol on him. All five people are sitting in the Jamestown City Jail .

Chapel Hill, N.C. — A woman facing charges in connection with the death of her 5-year-old son on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus last weekend had a history of mental health issues , according to search warrants . Police responded to a single- family residence at the Baity Hill family housing community just after midnight Sunday in response to a domestic incident involving a husband, wife and child. According to a 911 call released earlier this week, Victor Oluwasegva told a dispatcher that his wife, Ebony Oluwasegva, stabbed him multiple times while he was sleeping. Search warrants reveal that Victor Oluwasegva told officers who responded to the scene that his wife had injured or killed their child. According to the warrants, police who responded to the home found a knife that appeared to be covered in blood just inside the doorway of the apartment. Police say the victim was sitting in his car at an apartment complex at S. Weinbach. They say a woman had walked up to him, pointed a gun, and demanded money. The victim says he gave her $60, and she took off running. He was able to give a description to police, which led them to an apartment on Lincoln Park Drive . Officers say they found Ashley Sargent hiding in the corner. They say she was out of breath.
