LEWISTON — A Brooklyn man was indicted on drug charges this week, accused of selling the fentanyl investigators say has been linked to several drug overdoses in recent months. Nera James, 38, was indicted on a dozen counts, including aggravated drug trafficking , and trafficking in counterfeit drugs. Investigators say James, using the street name "King," sold dope from an apartment at 91 Walnut St., offering the drugs as heroin when it was in fact fentanyl. Police said he also met customers in tenement hallways on Pierce, Walnut, Nichols and other streets in the downtown area. According to court documents, James' fentanyl was linked to so many drug overdoses in the area that some local drug users refused to use it. On Dec. 20, 2016, police and drug agents stopped James as he was walking on Shawmut Street. WILLIAMSPORT -- Two men were arrested and committed to Lycoming County Prison on Saturday, August 19, after police raided an apartment on Glenwood Avenue and found marijuana , traces of heroin and paraphernalia. According to an affidavit by a Williamsport Bureau of Police officer, he was patrolling the 400 block of Glenwood Avenue, a known narcotics trafficking area , around 10:46 a.m. The officer noticed a gray Dodge Charger rental car with a Georgia license plate parked in front of an apartment building known for narcotics trafficking. The officer had observed the vehicle driving through the 700 block of Center Street, also a known narcotics area, moments before. A search warrent executed Tuesday afternoon by the Jamestown Police SWAT Team resulted in the apprehension of five suspects involved in the sale and trafficking of crystal methamphetamine. The investigation, led by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and NYSP CNET, targeted a basement apartment located at 20 Bush St. Upon entry, multiple individuals were found inside the apartment including two small children. One subject, later identified as Delbert Clark, 50, fled the residence and was apprehended several blocks away following a foot chase. Clark was in possession of a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine and a Co2 pistol. Clark was charged with obstructing governmental administration and seventh- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Five people were arrested Tuesday afternoon following a search warrant execution at a Bush Street basement apartment . The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed the search warrant at an apartment at 20 Bush St. at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, following an investigation which revealed that the apartment was being used for the sales and trafficking of crystal meth. Entry was gained to the location with the assistance of the Jamestown Police SWAT Team . Multiple people were found inside the residence, as well as two small children.
