BELMONT — A 27-year-old Menlo Park man charged with the murder of a friend’s ex-boyfriend pleaded not guilty Tuesday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney ’s Office. Jovhon Stewart  The 24-year-old victim, DeJohn Jones, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Aug. 5 when he went to Jolie Harris’ one-bedroom apartment on the 500 block of Ralston Avenue in Belmont with his sister and cousin to retrieve a television and other items that belonged to him. Prosecutors said Jones and Harris had recently broken up. At the apartment with Harris that morning were her brother Victor Bell and five other friends, including the suspect, Jovhon A. Stewart. Stewart was identified as Jones’ killer by Bell, Stewart’s girlfriend Bryana Fields and Davinci Mendoza, according to prosecutors.
