NORTH CHARLESTON, SC — Two children were found with injuries inside a South Carolina apartment and later died, and now a man has been charged with attacking them, North Charleston police said. Officers were called to the Jamison Park apartment complex about 3 p.m. Monday when someone reported children were trapped inside an apartment with a man, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. The caller had been attacked and locked out of the apartment, police said. The suspect fled before officers arrived . Two children were found and been attacked, police said. They later died. Their names were not released. About five hours later, officers arrested Raashid Jaamal White , 26, and charged him with two counts of murder. It was not known whether he has an attorney.
