Neo-Nazi group in the spotlight after deaths in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The friendship of the four young roommates — though cemented in the dark trappings of an obscure neo- Nazi group called Atomwaffen Division — never seemed destined for bloodshed. One was described as a former science nerd, serving in the Florida National Guard . Two others worked temp jobs at a recycling plant and talked about joining the military. The fourth caught flak from his roommates for wasting his days with video games. Now two of the young men are dead, the other two are in jail and authorities are left to answer this question: Was Atomwaffen Division plotting violent acts or were the four young men merely posers? Young Park Ridge woman found slain in her Florida apartment

PARK RIDGE — Police are investigating the killing of a Park Ridge woman found dead inside her Florida apartment on Tuesday. The body of Nicole Franco, 19, was found early Tuesday morning in her Oakland Park apartment , the Broward County Sheriff ’s Office said on Thursday. Franco had called 911 at 3:29 a.m. to report that someone was breaking into her home, but only gave dispatchers the apartment complex's address, not her apartment number, investigators said. Authorities have not yet released information on how Franco was killed, but said her death is being investigated as a homicide. The day after her death, just two miles away, the body of another teen was found in the yard of an Oakland Park home , NBC reported. Franco reportedly knew the victim, 17-year-old Amaya Cruz, bu...

Nera James, 38, was indicted on a dozen counts, including aggravated drug trafficking , and trafficking in counterfeit drugs. Top 10 Murder Victims Who Solved Their Own Murders

Image
Crime Lyra Radford August 9, 2017 The criminal justice system can be a bit tricky. Even if investigators think they know who committed a crime, they still have to be able to link a suspect to the scene without a shadow of a doubt. This is great for those wrongfully accused, but it’s downright infuriating when it helps the guilty get away with murder. Between stalled police investigations , poorly collected evidence , and subpar autopsy performances , the incompetence of the living can be enough to make the dead roll over in their graves. Or perhaps rise right up to solve their murder cases themselves. 10 The Ghost Of Fred Fisher Had To Point Out Where His Body Was In 1826, Australian farmer Frederick Fisher vanished . His shady neighbor, George Worrall , waved a big red flag when he suddenly remembered that his pal Fred had signed his entire farm over to George before mysteriously skipping town .
