How True is the Occult Story of the Ragged Doll Annabelle?

Annabelle, the movie, what about the real-life Annabelle? It is a tale that many believe and have actually been an inspiration behind making the movie itself. A doll walking inside your room sounds freaking. Read on to know about this doll with big black eyes, triangle nose and ragged hair. You can go and visit it yourself as it is locked inside Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut.

Occult Museum in Monroe is owned by the old couple, Ed (dead now) and Lorraine Warrens’ who were expert in dealing with occult happenings.

The story of the ragged doll began in 1970, when a mother bought this haunted doll for her daughter Donna on her birthday. Donna took the creepy doll to her apartment that she used to share with her friend Lou. And here begins the line of strange happenings in the apartment.

When we got into the history of this paranormal building, we came to know, it used to be a barren field earlier. The ground has a negative history of discovering the dead body of a girl, just 7, on it. That small girl was Annabelle Higgins.

Donna and her friend experienced a number of weird incidents in their apartment after the arrival of the doll. They found the doll moving from one spot to another. There was a day when the doll was found with blood running down from its hands.

Both Donna and Lou found papers at their door step with inscriptions like– “Help us” and “Help Lou”, hand written by some child.

According to Donna and Lou, the doll even tried to strangle Lou one night. These and many such horrifying incidents led them to get help from occult experts Ed and Lorraine Warren. The couple transferred the doll from the apartment to the occult museum.

To them, it was not the apartment that was haunted, but the small doll was manipulated by “inhuman demonic spirit”.

The doll is locked in the glass box with a note over it, saying, avoid touching it. According to Lorraine Warren, it is the “worst thing in the whole Museum.”

Some say, even if you make fun of it, you will get punished. As a visitor who mocked the doll by laughing loud in front of it, was found dead in a roadside accident, moments after seeing it.
