Police investigating Westminster apartment burglaries

Westminster Police are investigating a series of break-ins at the Ridgeview at Wakefield Valley apartments and offering a reward for anyone providing information leading to an arrest and conviction.

The first burglary occurred overnight April 16 when a maintenance shed at the complex was burglarized and a saw and air compressor were stolen, according to Westminster Police Capt. Pete D'Antuono.

On April 21 and 22, two different residents reported daytime burglaries to their apartments, D'Antuono said. The window was broken on one apartment and a television was missing. The second apartment was entered through a sliding door and two televisions stolen.

No one was home at the time of the break-ins, D'Antuono said.

Residents are encouraged to secure doors and windows and report suspicious activity. A $500 reward is being offered and tips can be reported to the Westminster Police at 410-848-4646.

Callers may remain anonymous by calling the tip line at 410-857-8477. Callers may also text their tips anonymously by texting TIPWPD and their tip to TIP411 (847411).
