RICHMOND, Va. -- Family members say a world- renowned hair stylist and business owner was killed in a double shooting outside a Southside apartment complex Thursday night . Police said 33-year-old Karen A. Turner, of the 10400 block of Colony Village Way in North Chesterfield, died after shots were fired on Green Cove Drive outside the Blue Ridge Estates apartment complex around 10:40 p.m. Karen Turner A second woman was wounded after two women were heard arguing in the parking lot, Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett . "Officers responded and located the female with a gunshot wound to the leg, but also found a female nearby in a vehicle who was unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound ," a Richmond Police spokesperson said. "She was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was transported to a local hospital with an injury that was not considered life threatening ." UPDATE (8:15 a.m.):  Police say Donnell A. Howard turned himself in overnight. He is facing charges including second-degree murder. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A man is wanted in connection to a deadly shooting last week in Newport News. Officers responded to the shooting in the 7300 block of River Road — behind the  Admiral Pointe Apartments — around 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17. Police found a man with a life- threatening gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries overnight. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Eric Blackshear. Police said Wednesday that they’ve taken out warrants on 24-year-old Donnell A. Howard, of Hampton. He’s wanted on charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon. ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man has been arrested for Wednesday morning's shooting on South Frederick Street that left one man seriously injured. Nicholas Nichols, 24, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding , Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The shooting happened at about 7:04 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Frederick St ., near Columbia Grove apartments , police said. The investigation determined that the shooting occurred after an altercation between known acquaintances. Arriving officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to George Washington University Hospital . The man sustained serious but non- life threatening injuries , police said.
