Mill Creek nabs $80M construction loan for phase two of Dadeland apartments CIT is the lender By Katherine Kallergis | August 21, 2017 08:45AM Rendering of Modera Metro Dadeland ’s second phase Mill Creek Residential just closed on an $ 80 million loan for the second phase of Modera Metro Dadeland , a 25- story apartment tower planned near Dadeland Mall, property records show . New York- based CIT Bank is the lender. Mill Creek, a Dallas- based multifamily developer , is building the 422-unit building at 8215 Southwest 72nd Avenue . Records show Mill Creek ’s Metro Dadeland II LLC paid $11.4 million for the 1.8- acre development site in 2014. Mill Creek is wrapping up construction of the first phase, also a 422-unit, 25- story rental development at the same address. Amenities will include two rooftop decks, a park and pet spa, parking garage, a pool, gym and clubhouse. Leasing begins in early September. CHEYENNE ­– A proposed apartment complex that would offer low- and middle- income housing in north Cheyenne won a key stamp of approval Monday night when the City Council voted to rezone land for high-density development. Councilman Dicky Shanor was absent for the 9-0 decision. Developer Summit Housing Group plans to build a three-building, 72-unit complex for low- and middle- income residents east of Converse Avenue between Storey and Dell Range boulevards . Sam Lang, a Summit senior project manager , said his firm is aiming to break ground on the project by early next year pending city approval of building plans . When Matt Metzger and Carly Wingert showed up to view apartments early Friday afternoon at a complex on the south end of town, the property management office was closed. Another tenant pointed them to the mailbox with applications they could take and fill out. But it was empty. So they were off to make more calls. A Northfield-based company has broken ground on a project that will bring 315 high-end apartments to a stalled mixed-use development near Oakbrook Terrace. Interforum Holdings will start construction of its Lakeside Village of Oak Brook luxury apartments as soon as the weather permits. The 500,000-square-foot, four-story building will be on roughly 6 acres along Royce Boulevard . DETROIT, MI — General Motors Co. started its car-sharing service, Maven, just over a year ago, placing Chevrolets and Cadillacs in New York apartment buildings for occupants to rent. Since then, the service has grown exponentially. Maven is still working with apartment dwellers, but it is also offering hourly and daily rental cars in 17 North American cities . It also offers Maven Gig , a service that lets people rent cars to do odd jobs, like ride-hailing for Lyft or delivering food for GrubHub. Maven Gig expanded into Los Angeles earlier this month; it's coming to Boston, Phoenix, Washington, Baltimore and Detroit this fall. Maven is now moving onto college campuses. This week, it became the exclusive car-share provider to the University of Southern California.
