Invest Group to pump in Dh2 billion in Dubai real estate sector

Dubai- based property developer Invest Group Overseas (IGO) will invest Dh2 billion in new real estate projects over the next few years, its CEO said. The group on Monday launched Dh500 million freehold residential tower in Jumeirah Lake Towers , equipped with 440 units of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and plans a couple of more residential projects by 2020, said Dr Anas Kozbari , CEO of IGO: "We handed over Polo Town Houses last year and now we are in the process of handing over last group of apartments from Polo Residences in Meydan. We have additional projects that will add Dh2 billion worth of our investments up to 2020. Two projects will be launched during the course of the years. They are more likely going to be residential towers ," he noted. With an investment of $136m (AED500m), the 195- metre tall tower will include G+39 floors and will be located in Cluster K of JLT. The project will comprise 449, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments that will feature amenities including a gym, health club and squash court, outdoor swimming pools , and kids area, as well as retail, food and beverage outlets. Construction will begin in December 2017, with a scheduled completion in the fourth quarter of 2020, IGO said. Trustees approve $460 million Campus Village project

USC's Board of Trustees approved a $ 460 million construction project on Friday that will bring eight new residence halls to south campus by 2024. The Campus Village project , originally proposed in 2015, will replace the existing Bates Towers , Cliff Apartments and Carolina Gardens housing facilities and construct new buildings on the sites of the Bates and Benson building parking lots . As the project was developed through a public-private partnership with Memphis- based collegiate property developer EdR , USC will not have to pay to build or operate any part of the Campus Village development . In addition, USC will not become liable for any debt related to the project. In all, the three-phase project will bring 3,750 beds to south campus over the next seven years. With Whaley Street running directly through the land earmarked for the project, the university intends to make Campus Village an "aesthetically pleasing, pedestrian-friendly area that blends well with nearby ...
