Looking Back: 1992: Construction wraps up at The Meadows
Hospice Cottage Inc. of Worthington hosted its first-ever open house and ice cream event . The facility's walking trail, including a contemplative seating area complete with a gas fireplace, was highlighted at the event. Paul Langseth, Worthington, received the Citizenship Award from the Minnesota-Dakotas District of Kiwanis International at the organization's recent annual convention in Fergus Falls. Langseth was recognized for his efforts in rescuing a driver from a flaming crash on Minnesota 60 near Heron Lake on Aug. 31, 2015. The Pipestone Civil War Days took place, with re-enactments and a wide variety of historical programs and artifacts included in the festivities. Tina Schlichte, a cosmetologist with 12 years' experience, opened Primp Salon in downtown Worthington.
