Framing began this week for 346 apartments in Chino Hills on the northeast corner of Fairfield Ranch Road and Monte Vista Avenue , east of the 71 Freeway. Units are expected to open in May 2018, according to Eric Heffner, director of real estate development for Bridge Investment Group Holdings , LLC. He said he could not predict the rent but costs will be priced at what the market will bear when they open. The very- high density apartment complex on 15 acres will include 18 buildings containing 1-to 3-bedroom units, ranging in size from 751 to 1,276 square feet. Gross density of the project is 23 dwelling units per acre. The gated complex will be called Crossings at Chino Hills and include a 4,077-square-foot clubhouse and gym, barbecue areas, grass areas, and a dog run. CHEYENNE ­– A proposed apartment complex that would offer low- and middle- income housing in north Cheyenne won a key stamp of approval Monday night when the City Council voted to rezone land for high-density development. Councilman Dicky Shanor was absent for the 9-0 decision. Developer Summit Housing Group plans to build a three-building, 72-unit complex for low- and middle- income residents east of Converse Avenue between Storey and Dell Range boulevards . Sam Lang, a Summit senior project manager , said his firm is aiming to break ground on the project by early next year pending city approval of building plans . An IBM data centre and office in western Sydney may have to make way for a new apartment complex and residential homes. Mirvac - which owns the campus- style business park in West Pennant Hills that is leased to IBM - has lodged plans to convert the site into “600 dwellings”, comprising 400 units and 200 houses. The property firm is understood to have originally sought a redevelopment of the site twice that density, but scaled back on multiple occasions after being refused permission by The Hills Shire Council . Mirvac’s latest attempt, however, was ticked off by the council on July 25. The proposal has now been turned over to NSW government planners for approval and potential public consultation later this year.
