Framing began this week for 346 apartments in Chino Hills on the northeast corner of Fairfield Ranch Road and Monte Vista Avenue , east of the 71 Freeway. Units are expected to open in May 2018, according to Eric Heffner, director of real estate development for Bridge Investment Group Holdings , LLC. He said he could not predict the rent but costs will be priced at what the market will bear when they open. The very- high density apartment complex on 15 acres will include 18 buildings containing 1-to 3-bedroom units, ranging in size from 751 to 1,276 square feet. Gross density of the project is 23 dwelling units per acre. The gated complex will be called Crossings at Chino Hills and include a 4,077-square-foot clubhouse and gym, barbecue areas, grass areas, and a dog run. USC's Board of Trustees approved a $ 460 million construction project on Friday that will bring eight new residence halls to south campus by 2024. The Campus Village project , originally proposed in 2015, will replace the existing Bates Towers , Cliff Apartments and Carolina Gardens housing facilities and construct new buildings on the sites of the Bates and Benson building parking lots . As the project was developed through a public-private partnership with Memphis- based collegiate property developer EdR , USC will not have to pay to build or operate any part of the Campus Village development . In addition, USC will not become liable for any debt related to the project. In all, the three-phase project will bring 3,750 beds to south campus over the next seven years. Until Saturday, August 12th, Debra Godfrey liked to sit on her front porch in the afternoons. She’d smoke a Newport and watch what little traffic there was pass by. Godfrey, who is fifty-one, lives in Belmont, a quiet neighborhood on the southeast side of Charlottesville, Virginia.
