This letter to the editor was received from Clark Senior Housing President Bill Caruso .  We, the Clark Senior Housing Corp ., would like to let all the residents, especially the new residents in town, know that the Clark Senior Housing Corp is a private, non-profit company, not associated with any township's governmental agency. The Senior Housing Corp . was organized to encourage the town to plan and build affordable housing . In December 2000, we came before the Mayor and council to ask them for help for this noble project. We were told that the town had no money to spend on senior housing or any land left to build it on. We were also told to find the money and land ourselves and then they will see what they can do to help us out. The plan was always to help our seniors on fixed incomes that could no longer afford the high taxes on their homes, to find affordable housing in town so they can stay dose to their loved ones. KeyBank Arranges Loans for Affordable Seniors Housing Projects Cleveland- based KeyBank Real Estate Capital (NYSE: KEY) has arranged a $23. 8 million Fannie Mae loan for Harmony Housing , a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization based Douglassville , Georgia. KeyBank’s John Gilmore, IV, and Jeff Rodham arranged the financing. Residents have complained about bed bugs in their apartments to local, state and federal agencies during the past several months. Last week, the Greenbriar Apartments , 121 Waverly Road, was inspected by dogs trained to sniff out bed bugs. Thursday evening about 6:30, a notice was slipped under Sue Coulters door . The bed bug-sniffing dogs had detected the parasites in her apartment and workers would be by the next day to throw out her furniture. Since last summer, strips of white, sticky cardboard have been conspicuous in Coulters apartment , under the furniture, by the walls. Each monitor, given to her by management, captures any little creepy crawly that happens to crawl over it. I...

Students will be able to begin leasing University Village apartments this month, and the new residences will open in the fall. Leasing will begin before general housing signup in late March, so that students can plan accordingly if they don’t get an apartment. Of the 800 rooms available, 720 will be leased to undergraduates, 40 to graduate students and 40 to law students, following agreements made between the schools before construction began. As the agreement stands now, medical students will not be able to lease rooms. To sign up to live in the Village, undergraduates must have junior or senior credit standing . The longer the student has lived in on- campus housing , the greater the chance he or she will have to live in the Village. If the 720 rooms do not get filled after giving priority to these students, leasing will open to students that live off campus and want to move back on campus. More than 20 residents at Greenbrier Gardens Apartments have been displaced due to flood damage. Senior Area Manager for Leddic Management Group Michelle Cook , who oversees the apartments, said residents living in 22 apartments must vacate their homes by Sunday. “Despite rumors, these are not being condemned,” she told the Log Cabin Democrat on Wednesday. “Our main priority is the health and safety of residents and the apartments affected [from flood waters] are in need of repair.” Looking into the apartments, it was clear water levels rose about one-foot off the ground, ruining carpeting and damaging furniture and residents’ other personal belongings . Oxley Thanksgiving Residence , a freehold condominium at 328 River Valley Road owned by Chinese temple Poh Ern Shih , and St Thomas Lodge , which also sits on freehold land at 32 St Thomas Walk , are listed for short-term stay on the website of accommodation service provider Atas Residence .
