A five-year-old child was stabbed to death in a domestic violence incident on the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill campus , officials said. The child's parents were also injured in the incident, which happened around 11.45pm Saturday and was reported to authorities around 12.12am Sunday, The Herald-Sun reported. CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Authorities in North Carolina say they anticipate charging a 34-year-old woman with first-degree murder after a " domestic incident " on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus left her 5-year-old son dead. Orange County District Attorney Jim Woodall says Ebony Oluwaseva, 34, will be charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. She is hospitalized with injuries she suffered in the Sunday morning attack . Her husband, 32-year-old Victor Oluwasegva, was injured in the incident but is expected to recover. The deceased child hasn 't been named. The violence occurred shortly after midnight in a single- family residence at the Baity Hill family housing community . Authorities said a knife was used as the weapon in the violence. Authorities would not say whether the woman is the mother of the child. A 34-year-old woman is accused of fatally stabbing a 5-year-old boy before turning the knife on her husband at their apartment on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus early Sunday , PEOPLE confirms. On Monday, the Orange County, North Carolina, district attorney, Jim Woodall, said he plans to charge Ebony Oluwasegva with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, according to local TV station WNCN . She may also face charges of felony child abuse and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, Woodall said. Oluwasegva has not yet been charged and authorities would not say whether the boy is her son, though he was described as such by the Durham Herald Sun and other local reports. Her husband survived , though his condition was not immediately available on Wednesday. Oluwasegva remains in the hospital, under police watch, recovering from injuries she sustained in the attack.
